KENDRA AND BETH (2021)

Beth, a quiet and vulnerable misfit, is the only female employee in the shipping and receiving department of a local sausage company. She lives at home where she takes care of her ailing mother who never leaves the couch and refuses to watch anything but Julia Roberts movies. The house is also shared by Beth’s older brother Robbie, an outsider artist who is still trying to put the pieces back together after a failed engagement 11 years prior.

The neatly ordered tedium of Beth’s life is shattered when she encounters Kendra, a seductive and unpredictable waitress who works down the street and lives an itinerant life jumping from one opportunity to the next with manic dexterity while waiting for her luck to change.

The two spark up a contentious and confusing relationship whose nature becomes more muddled and difficult everyday. What starts out as a casual friendship quickly escalates into something deeper, messier, and more unexpected.

Starring: Kate Lyn Sheil, Eleanore Pienta, Whitmer Thomas, Jon Gabrus, Matt Bailey, Catherine Curtain & Phil Matarese.

WHAT CHILDREN DO (2018)

In the years since sisters Amy and Shannon were little kids you would expect their relationship to have matured. You’d be wrong.

Amy is a failed actress in LA, penniless and miserable, pulling 25 hours a week at a frozen yogurt shop to make ends meet. Her younger sister Shannon lives a stiflingly quiet life as a librarian in a small town where she co-habitates with her boyfriend Pat, a lovable goof who's constantly cobbling together homespun workout routines.

Both sisters return to their small hometown in upstate New York when they find out that their grandmother "Nana" is on the brink of death. They haven’t spoken in three years and must attempt to put aside their differences and take care of Nana in her final days. While back at home they encounter old flames, over zealous pastors, and overdue DVDs while attempting to repair their feral relationship and come to terms with the town they grew up in.

Starring: Nicole Rodenburg, Grace Rex,  John Early,  Josh Ruben,  Alex Rennie & Mary Looram.
